This Privacy Policy describes how NumBot ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you interact with our Discord bot. By using NumBot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We are committed to collecting only the data necessary to provide and improve NumBot's features. The information we collect is stored on Google's Firebase Firestore platform and is broken down as follows:
User Data
- Discord User ID: We use your unique Discord ID as the primary key to identify you and link you to your data.
- Display Name: We store your Discord display name at the time of your activity for use on leaderboards.
- Game Statistics: We track your progress in our counting games, including your live and all-time counts, failures, and saves used.
- Virtual Currency and Items: We store your balance of "NumCoins" and a record of the items you have purchased from the shop (e.g., Calculator, Converter).
- Donation History: We keep a record of the amount of NumCoins you donate to guilds.
Server (Guild) Data
- Discord Server ID: We use the server ID to store and manage server-specific configurations.
- Configuration Settings: We store settings configured by server administrators, such as channel IDs for games, server saves, and membership status.
User-Submitted Content
- Issue Reports: We do not store the content of messages from
counting channels. The only user-generated text we store is the description you voluntarily provide
when submitting a bug or issue report via the
/report-issue
command.
2. How We Use Your Information
The data we collect is used exclusively to provide the bot's services, including:
- To operate the core counting gameplay loops and validate user counts.
- To provide and display user profiles and server-specific leaderboards.
- To manage the virtual economy, including NumCoin balances and shop purchases.
- To enable features like the saves system and minigames.
- To respond to and track user-submitted support requests and issue reports.
- To provide and manage premium features for guilds.
3. Data Storage and Security
All collected data is stored on Google's Firebase Firestore platform. Firestore encrypts all data at rest by default, providing a secure environment for your information. We do not store any highly sensitive personal information, such as passwords or email addresses.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is stored for as long as it is necessary to provide the bot's features, primarily for maintaining your persistent statistics and inventory.
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data stored by NumBot. To initiate a deletion request, please follow the instructions in the "Contact Us" section below. Upon receiving a valid request, we will remove your user-specific data from our database.
5. User Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access the data we have stored about you (viewable via the

command). - Request the deletion of your data.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in our support server. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
